13 Day East Africa Grand Safari

Overview

NAIROBI - Arrival in the Green City (Day 1)

Your journey begins in Nairobi, East Africa's vibrant capital where cosmopolitan energy meets wide open skies and historic estates. You arrive and transfer into the leafy suburb of Karen, an elegant residential enclave set against the backdrop of the Ngong Hills. The atmosphere is calm, refined and residential, offering a soft introduction to the adventure ahead.

You stay at The Residences at Karen, a boutique sanctuary defined by privacy and understated sophistication. Spacious suites open onto manicured gardens, interiors blend contemporary design with warm African accents, and the quiet ambiance allows you to rest deeply after travel. Breakfast is served in a relaxed garden setting where fresh tropical fruits, artisanal breads and made- to- order specialties begin your safari in comfort.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK - Beneath Kilimanjaro's Majesty (Day 2 & 3 Clustered)

You depart Nairobi and journey south into Amboseli National Park, a landscape defined by vast open plains, seasonal swamps and the iconic presence of Mount Kilimanjaro rising snow- capped above the horizon. The mountain dominates the skyline at dawn and dusk, creating one of Africa's most legendary safari panoramas.

Amboseli is known as the land of giants. Large elephant herds move gracefully across the plains, often framed perfectly against Kilimanjaro. The ecosystem thrives on underground streams flowing from the mountain, feeding green marshlands that attract buffalo, hippo, zebra and prolific birdlife. Lions rest beneath acacia trees while cheetahs scan the horizon for prey.

Your lodge blends harmoniously with the surrounding wilderness, offering uninterrupted views of the mountain. Days unfold with morning and afternoon game drives, returning to relaxed lunches and quiet evenings as the sky turns crimson behind Kilimanjaro.

You stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, a beautifully designed property inspired by Maasai culture. The architecture reflects traditional forms with earth- toned walls, hand- painted murals and decorative motifs that celebrate local heritage. The lodge is positioned to offer uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro from its gardens and viewing terraces.

Guest rooms are warmly styled with handcrafted furnishings and private verandas facing the plains or the mountain. The central courtyard features a swimming pool overlooking the landscape, creating a tranquil retreat between game drives. Dining is relaxed yet refined, and evenings sometimes include traditional Maasai performances beneath starlit skies. The lodge's setting and orientation make it one of the finest vantage points for viewing elephants framed against Kilimanjaro.

OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY - Conservation Excellence Beneath Mount Kenya (Day 4 & 5 Clustered)

You fly north toward the Laikipia Plateau, where the scenery shifts to rolling savannah framed by the distant peaks of Mount Kenya. OL Pejeta Conservancy is one of Africa's most progressive wildlife protection areas and a leader in conservation.

The conservancy is home to East Africa's largest black rhino population and shelters the last two northern white rhinos on earth. It also houses Kenya's only chimpanzee sanctuary. The landscape blends open plains, riverine forest and acacia woodland, supporting lion, elephant, cheetah and rare Grevy's zebra.

You stay at The River Camp, an intimate tented retreat set along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Spacious luxury tents feature en- suite bathrooms and private decks overlooking the water where elephants frequently gather. The design is eco- conscious and immersive, allowing you to feel fully connected to the landscape. Evenings glow with lantern light and the sounds of hippos drifting through the night air. Game drives, conservation visits and guided experiences provide both thrilling wildlife encounters and meaningful conservation insight.

MAASAI MARA - The Great Plains of Africa (Day 6 & 7 Clustered - Fly-In)

You fly into the legendary Maasai Mara, where golden savannah stretches endlessly beneath expansive skies. Wildlife density here is exceptional, with large lion prides, cheetahs and leopards thriving in this rich ecosystem.

You stay at Ilkeliani Camp, beautifully positioned along the Talek River within a prime wildlife corridor. The camp blends contemporary luxury with authentic safari character. Spacious tented suites feature polished wood floors, elegant furnishings and private decks overlooking the river. Wildlife often moves close to camp, enhancing the sense of immersion. Days unfold with expertly guided game drives and evenings conclude with refined dining under the stars as the Mara sky turns amber and violet.

SERENGETI-Endless Horizons (Day 8 & 9 Clustered - Fly-In)

You cross into Tanzania by air and land in the vast Serengeti, a landscape of infinite plains punctuated by granite kopjes and scattered acacias. Predator activity is frequent and wildlife movements are dramatic.

You stay at The River Camp Karibu, an elegant tented camp offering comfort and proximity to prime wildlife areas. Canvas suites open to sweeping plains views, blending refined interiors with authentic safari ambiance. The Serengeti's scale and silence create a profound sense of wilderness as lions roar in the distance and sunsets stretch endlessly across the horizon.

NGORONGORO CRATER - A Natural Wonder (Day 10 & 11 Clustered)

You ascend to the Ngorongoro Highlands and stay at Lions Paw Camp, perched dramatically on the crater rim. The camp offers panoramic views into the caldera and comfortable tented suites warmed by crisp highland air.

Descending into the crater reveals a self- contained ecosystem teeming with wildlife. Black rhino graze across open plains, lion prides patrol the grasslands and flamingos gather along soda lakes. The concentration of animals within the crater walls creates one of Africa's most extraordinary safari experiences.

LAKE MANYARA - Forest and Escarpment (Day 12)

You continue to Lake Manyara, a compact yet ecologically diverse park set beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. You stay at Elephant Springs, a tranquil retreat that reflects the lush forest surroundings. The park is known for tree- climbing lions, large elephant herds and flocks of flamingogos along the alkaline lake shore.

ARUSHA - Coffee Estate Elegance (Day 13)

You conclude your journey at Arusha Coffee Lodge, set within a working coffee plantation beneath Mount Meru. The lodge exudes plantation- style elegance with spacious suites, warm fireplaces and garden terraces. The final evening is serene and reflective, surrounded by fragrant coffee trees and cool highland air.
